Rosenhill
Rosenhill is a Grade-1 detached original Scillonian cottage with 2 floors and three bedrooms, accommodating six. It is let out as self-catering holiday accommodation. It was built in the late 18th Century.
Fire Hazards:
Sources of Ignition: Heat from cooking, electrical appliances, smoking materials.
Source of Fuel: Cooking oils, furniture and furnishings, waste/rubbish.
Who is at risk?
Anybody in the building, including elderly, disabled and the very young. Typically there are no more than six people staying at any time.
Action taken to remove & reduce the hazards that may cause a fire.
No smoking is allowed inside the building
Modern appliances kept clean and functional
Cooking instructions available
Most rubbish stored outside
Furniture and bedding meet appropriate fire safety levels
No gas, electrical or open fires
All appliances are PAT tested and checked weekly
Full electrical survey completed and passed In April 2021.
Action taken to remove and reduce the risk to people of a fire.
Automatic interlinked fire detection system in place across the building. Checked quarterly. Back up batteries replaced as required
Fire extinguisher and blanket located in kitchen. Fire extinguisher at the top of the stairs
Two means of escape possible through front and back door. Doors can be locked by keys. Backdoor fitted with internal twist lock. Visitors advised to leave doors unlocked when inside or leave keys in front door lock.

Peraskin - Shepherds Hut
Peraskin is a newly built oak Shepherds Hut with wooden balcony that accommodates two people, on one level. It is let out as self-catering holiday accommodation.

Sources of Ignition: Heat from cooking, electrical appliances, smoking materials.
Source of Fuel: Cooking oils, furniture and furnishings, waste/rubbish.
Wooden structure and balcony.
Who is at risk?
Anybody in the building. Typically there are no more than two people staying at any time.
Action taken to remove & reduce the hazards that may cause a fire.
No smoking is allowed inside or on the balcony

BBQ area on a lower grass area only.
